Main Street Bridge is now open to the public ahead of schedule. LH North and the City of Thunder Bay would like to thank everyone for their patience and cooperation during the closure. Project Summary

The Main Street Bridge, located between Isabel St. and Hammond Avenue and owned by the City of Thunder Bay, will be undergoing a two-year rehabilitation project starting in May 2018 and continuing to August 2019. The purpose of this project is to improve and repair key elements of the structure in order to increase its lifespan and provide a reliable and safe means of transportation for years to come.

The project will be completed over the course of two separate phases. During each construction phase, partial and full road closures will periodically occur. This website will provide updated details with regards to the dates of these closures and the detoured traffic routes. Any construction updates will also be regularly updated here.
