Construction Update (Week of July 30th to August 3rd)

For the week of Monday, July 30th  to Friday, August 3rd, there are no scheduled road closures for the Main Street Bridge and traffic will operate under normal conditions in the usual two-lanes.

Large police escorted loads will be crossing the bridge during the next two weeks and occasional flagging may take place. Please take care to obey all traffic signage and flagmen.

The current work being done on the bridge is the continuation of the repairing of deteriorated concrete on the piers.

Construction Update (Week of July 23rd to July 27th)

For the week of Monday, July 23rd to Friday, July 27th, there are no scheduled road closures for the Main Street Bridge and traffic will operate under normal conditions in the usual two-lanes.

The current work being done on the bridge is the continuation of the repairing of deteriorated concrete on the piers.

Single Lane closures with traffic control and pedestrian sidewalk closures will occur on the Main Street Bridge.

During the week of Monday, July 16th  to Friday July 20th, Single Lane closures with traffic control as well as pedestrian sidewalk closures will occur on the Main Street Bridge.  This closure is to facilitate work that is being done to repair and replace the pedestrian sidewalk on the Main Street Bridge.

Please follow all construction and detour signage.

Full 48-hour road closure will occur on the Main Street Bridge.

During the week of Tuesday July 3rd to Friday July 6th, please be advised that a full 48-hour road closure will occur on the Main Street Bridge. This closure is scheduled to begin on Thursday July 5th and be completed on Friday July 6th.

The detour route for this closure will follow Hammond Avenue, Maureen Street, and Central Avenue (as outlined under the “Detour Routes” section). Please follow all construction and detour signage for the safety of the workers on site.
